Sandra Elias is a nationally renowned speaker, presenter and
educator on the subject of bloodborne pathogens and infectious
disease prevention. As an Occupational Health, Safety and
Worker's Compensation Consultant, she is responsible for enhancing
employee health and safety for more than 9,000 clients. She
has served as president of the Orange County (CA) Assn. of
Occupational Health Nurses and as director of the American
Assn. of Occupational Health Nurses.

John Linstrom –
Chief Content Officer, Emergency WORLD
John Linstrom served more than 20 years in fire departments
in CA and TX before retiring with the rank of Assistant Chief.
He is a National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer graduate
and adjunct instructor. In addition, he is an active member
of the Federal Mass Fatalities Recovery Team (FEMA Region
IX) as well as a member in the California Task Force 6 of
the National Urban Search and Rescue Response System.

During his long career, he has held the positions of elected
official, consultant, EMS educator and fire instructor, among
others. He holds several bachelor’s and master’s
degrees as well as a juris doctorate in law.

Battalion Chief, Boca Raton (FL) Fire Rescue Services
Chief Jack McCartt has served the Boca Raton department for
more than 20 years. As well as fulfilling his duties as Battalion
Chief, he is also a nationally recognized trainer on a number
of topics, including EMS, hazardous materials, firefighting
and terrorism.

Deputy Chief/Director of Safety, District of Columbia Fire
Department
Chief Michael L. Smith has spent more than 28 years with the
District of Columbia Fire Department. He is an adjunct instructor
at the National Fire Academy and an instructor of building
construction and advanced strategy/tactics at the University
of the District of Columbia. His education includes degrees
in fire science, construction management and labor law, and
he holds a journeyman carpenter certificate.
